Yandoit Cultural is a not-for-profit community cultural centre located in the hamlet of Yandoit in central Victoria. We lease Yandoit’s old church in the bush from the Uniting Church.  Yandoit Cultural is run by locals who volunteer their time and expertise. Yandoit Cultural hosts music, spoken word, local history, film, and festival events, with a particular emphasis on local, acoustic and quality.  In most cases, events are entry by donation to maximise community connection and ensure culture is accessible to all. Over the past few years, gifts of candle holders, fridge, cups, glasses, indoor and outdoor tables, event publicity and photography, lamps, cushions,  film production on the history of the church, and much more, have been donated to Yandoit Cultural. Financial donations have contributed towards rent, insurance and the development of Yandoit Cultural’s website.

 

Funds raised via events contribute towards core costs of Yandoit Cultural. Any additional monies raised support musicians as well as local and overseas programs such as: Nalderun Aboriginal Education Corporation, a local bush tucker project,  Ukrainian refugees, and more recently Palestinian refugees.
